January 29, 2007, Wegner’s Granulomatosis (WG) took the life of 34 year old Jeremy “Miah” Johnson. The disease went undiagnosed until the damage it had caused was irreversible. It is our hope that through our kayak journey we will not only raise money to assist in research of WG, but also raise awareness of all forms of vasculitis. This journey is dedicated to Miah, an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend.

Starting on June 15, Jerry Sparks and Brett Tanner will undertake a 1,321 mile sea kayak voyage down the entire west coast of California in honor and memory of Miah Johnson. Click here to donate to their fundraising efforts at their vasculitis foundation website !
